Residential Traffic Calming Roundabouts

We have a number of these through out greater Victoria, the problem is that people do not know how to use them. People seem to think that the car to their right - in front of them in the traffic, is what they are yielding to. This is opposite of the case.

The roundabouts have yield signs, that should be a clue that you are yielding to the traffic coming towards you since you can not yield to traffic already in front of you.

I can see fender benders closely avoided almost every afternoon in the Tillicum Gorge area. Someday there will be some significant accidents because people do not know how to use them.

If one had a car they had trouble selling, these roundabouts would be a good place to find someone that will blindly run into you at their own fault.
