For all you Garage Sale fans, the Balfour Street garage sale will be June 16th this year. This annual street wide garage sale has been going on for more than 20 years now. I lived on Balfor for several years and now live two short blocks away from it.
What I like about this event is that is a organic community event. Not enough streets in this city have people come up with things they can go as a community of neighbours. The one street in this neighbourhood that does a good job of it is Earl Grey Street - they have a big street party for Halloween and a progressive garden party thing in the summer.
I am not certain, but I think this is the biggest garage sale in the city. It certainly is at least as big as some of the flea markets around town.

I am 99% certain we will have a table up on the day since there will be a lot of traffic passing by our house to get to Balfour Street. We have a bunch of stuff that did not sell when we had our garage sale.
Stephen will be selling his jams - they are good and affordable, I am certain he will have fresh strawberry jam available by then.
