Federal Election in this Region

CTV and the Globe have decided to look at 45 battleground ridings in the election, 10 of them in BC. One of them in Victoria - Esquimalt Juan de Fuca.

The Battleground 2008 Ridings:

British Columbia:

Vancouver Quadra, Vancouver Island North, West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country, Fleetwood-Port Kells, Newton-North Delta, Burnaby-Douglas, Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca, Richmond, Pitt Meadows-Maple Ridge-Mission, North Vancouver.

There was a poll in these ridings - the results look bad for the NDP and the Liberals.

The Liberals won six of these ridings, the NDP 2 and the Conservatives 2. Based on the poll that has come out, I believe that the Liberals will win 1, the NDP 1 and the Coservatives 8.

I believe these numbers indicate that Keith Martin is danger of being defeated by Troy DeSouza in Esquimalt Juan de Fuca.

If looks at some of the other province wide polling numbers, the NDP is going to have a race for Victoria. Victoria is coming within reach of Jack McClintock the Conservative Candidate.
