School Board Campaign Launch

VPEC brings the campaign for fully-funded, quality public education to the School Trustee elections. Here's our key campaign issues:
  • smaller class sizes
  • full support for students with special needs
  • no public school closures
  • full public funding for all programs - not fees

Bernard, I haven't been following the school board campaign. Leonard and Ferris but a flyer in the envelope we're sharing with Coleman et al, but someone buttonholed me at a mayoral forum saying those candidates weren't against closing schools and that the three candidates they were endorsing would stand up against closing schools. Now, I'm against closing schools because I don't think they're ours to close. I'm considering not voting at all for any school board candidates just because I haven't been able to inform myself on the various people and their positions and record.
